The US is giving a lot of money to help Ukraine defend itself afainst an illegal Russian invasion that began 10 years ago. But the US is not fighting that war with boots on the ground. It doesn’t know how thin that money must be spread and how much ingenuity Ukraine uses to make up the shortfall.
Ukraine’s engineen pilots have been described as quick studies on sophisticated F-16 fighter jets. Ukraine engineers have devused innovative sea drones and cute little land drones to help front line defenders slash their way through layers of dragon teeth barbed wire traps the Russians pound into the gound before they retreat. Such make-do ingenuity inspires those in America who may be frustrated by the limitations of their own tech society.
This website was first designed over ten years ago. It went fallow for a number of years, by which time the content had vanished into the ozone. Starting with the bare carcas, the site was rebuilt using basic WP tools. When traffic picked up and requests for subscriptions equalled the number of offers to make donations, a professional was hired. The kiss of death.
The professional didn’t like the links and the expert won out after weeks of argument. The backroom structure of the site had serious flaws. Fixing them unfortunately sacrificed the eye-catching color that had attracted so many visitors. Ukraine ingenuity now saves the day.
We are still searching for a site developer who is truly international and not just in a catchy American name only. We are looking for business adcisors and intellectual property attorneys. Mostly we are looking for professionals who have a grasp of the overall field and not just some profit-oriented little corner of it. And while that goes on, we continue work the Ukraine way.
This post will eventually be ion a Qyick Posts page which needs to be converted from a static to dynamic structure. Godaddy was unable to do it in three weeks after a promise of getting it done within two days. We improvvised and got the job done in an hour Typos are part of the make-do character of the creative muse here. Cheers.
